If you don't see pictures for the buttons on successive pages (you see lots of red x's) you need to install Java to see them. Information on installing Java is here.

We're working to remove the need for Java.

*Band students are those in any of the band programs at Athens Drive: Marching Band (including color guard), Class bands (Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, and Percussion Ensemble), Winterguard, Indoor Percussion Line, and Jazz Ensemble.

News

Information on the 2009 marching band season has been posted! See the Marching Band page.

Congratulations to the Winterguard for their 9th place finish at AIA Championships. Congratulations to the Winter Drumline, which finished in 8th place in their class.

The next booster meeting Thursday, May 7, at 7:30 in the band room.

Save these dates!

  • Spring BBQ: May 1

  • ADAF Mother's Day Concert and Silent Auction: May 9

Rising Freshman Families: You can begin putting money towards your band account by working Durham Bulls games, purchasing Scrip and grocery store gift certificates to do your regular shopping. Whether your student is joining marching band or taking a band class, this will help offset the fair share fees and help the general fund at the same time.

Class band letters are archived here:

Several other forms are needed for class band: the Student Information Sheet (.doc) and the Wake County Photo Permission Form (.pdf). If the student is in Marching Band, we already have the information on the Student Information Sheet, so that form is needed only if the student is in class bands only.

Current fundraisers:

  • Use the online signup tool to sign up for the RBC Center events and Durham Bulls.

  • Scrip (gift certificates) to many, many national retailers is available -- May is the next deadline.

  • Don't forget about the Gift Cards to Lowe's Foods, and Food Lion. We all buy groceries, why not get a percentage back into your band accout? Lowe's Foods put 6% into your account, and Food Lion is 5%. Available in $50 increments, these are a great way to let your grocery shopping help out your band account!

  • Harris Teeter gives a donation to us when you buy Harris Teeter brand products and prescriptions. Link your VIC card to the ADHS Band Boosters here with school code 2153.

  • Sponsor a Pep Tune! For $50, you can have your student's (or anybody else's) name permanently emblazoned on the music. Makes a great birthday, holiday, or graduation gift! Email Doc for more information.

Remember, all band/guard members (not just marching band) are welcome to participate in all fundraisers! So are rising freshman families! Participation in these fundraisers benefits more than just your band account (includes raising funds towards the spring trip); they also generate much needed revenue for the general fund which helps all band programs.

General information:

Don't forget about the master calendar. Also check out the Band Manual in a PDF format. It's everything you want to know about the band program at ADHS.
