Participants

All students interested in playing percussion! No experience required.

Percussionists interested in playing in the Athens Drive High School percussion section in the Fall 2010 Marching Band are strongly encouraged to participate. This includes eighth graders.

The Program

The Athens Drive HS Winter Percussion Training Program will begin in the spring. The rehearsals will take place in the band room at Athens Drive HS. This program will eventually lead  into the marching band auditions for the Fall 2010 season. Students are HIGHLY encouraged to participate as those who do will have the advantage of months of training before the auditions.

Instructors

John Antonelli is the Percussion Caption Head. John is working on his Masters Degree at NC School of the Arts. He has been with ADHS for nine years. He works with snares, and works with the entire battery on marching technique.

Shawn Marcinowski is recent Athens Drive graduate and currently is a student at the NC School of the Arts. He works with the tenors, and assists John working with the battery on  marching technique.
