Committee Chair Service Credit Exemption Program

2008-2009 Band Year

In an effort to recognize the many extra hours put in by the volunteer committee chairs and to help attract volunteers to these positions, we are implementing a pilot program to offer certain committee chairs exemption from the Marching Band Service Credit program.

Each committee chair position on the list below will receive six service credits. All committees have one chair position except Uniforms, which has three. If two people share the chair position as co-chairs, the credits will be shared among the two co-chairs (each receives three credits).

No family will receive more than six service credits regardless of how many committees chaired. Credits are not transferable to another family. If a committee chair resigns, credits will be pro-rated for the length of service. Service credits are not redeemable for cash.

Members serving on the Executive Board (Co-Presidents, Vice Presidents, Co-Treasurers, Secretary, and Members at Large) are not eligible for the exemption unless they also serve as a committee chair.
