Just a reminder...we like to make sure that you know how much money will benefit your student's account when we discuss the credits to your account. However, most fundraisers raise a lot of money for the band's general fund, too! These fundraisers are a win-win situation for Booster members and the band! | Fundraiser Programs

- Durham Bulls Concession Stands
Email: DurhamBulls@adhsband.com Chairs: Tom Perez During baseball season (April to November), we staff the Dillard Barbeque concession stand at all Bulls home games. This has been a profitable booth for us, and lots of fun. You must be at least 14 years old. In this booth, we do serve beer, but the students cannot touch the beer or the money; students can, however, handle the food. Sign ups are done through the coordinator or online. You must show up 2 hours prior to the game. Inventory is done before and after each game. Each game has an event leader who is responsible for the money and the ending count, and turns in the money and paperwork after closing. The band receives a percentage of the proceeds of the concession stand, and after crediting band accounts, any extra monies are given to the general band fund. Credits to band accounts vary depending on the month and day; events can credit $25 or more into your band account (an additional $10 for event leaders). Download the Durham Bulls Guidelines for information on what working the concession stand entails, and see www.durhambulls.com for a schedule.
- Centerplate/Civic Center Events
Email: CivicCenter@adhsband.com Chairs: Loretta Powell Staffs various events at the Civic Center. Events take place sporadically, and with a couple of weeks notice. Events credit up to $7/hr into your band account.
- RBC Center
Email: RBCCenter@adhsband.com Chair: Amy Dvorak Staffs a concession stand at the RBC center for NCSU basketball home games, Carolina Hurricanes home games, and quite a number of other special events. Band accounts are credited $30 per event, with team leaders receiving more. Required clothing is black shirt, black pants, and black closed toed shoes; aprons, shirts, and hats are provided when you arrive. Students must be 18 years old to work. Students can only work at events that do not serve alcohol. Presently, only the NCSU basketball games are alcohol free. For hockey, concerts and other events, beer is served. Servers must be 21 or over and have had the Alcohol Law Enforcement (ALE) training seminar provided by the Arena. Non ALE trained persons will work as food handlers and will not be serving beer. The schedule for a typical 7 pm event is that the stand opens two hour before the start, and inventory takes about an hour. Arrive at 5pm, and usually you'll leave around 10pm (particularly for basketball and hockey).
- Coupon Books
Email: CouponBooks@adhsband.com Chair: Jo Ellen Mock Coupon Books are usually sold the first couple of weeks of school. 100% of the profits are credited to your band account. This year's coupon book is CitiPass® (sells for $20, $6 or more credited to your account with $1 from each book going to the general fund) . Click here for specifics.
- BBQ's
Email: BBQ@adhsband.com Chair: Mark & Elaine Ray Two barbeque sales take place each year. One is at the end of September or early October, the other is at the end of April. They are held at the Swift Creek Community Center (behind Swift Creek Elementary). We pre-sell tickets or plates for $7.00 each. Volunteers either cook, serve, or deliver the BBQ. Parents also contribute by baking cookies and brownies for sale. All profits from the sale benefit the band's general fund.
- State Fair Parking
Email: StateFair@adhsband.com Chair: John Bryant We have had the opportunity to park cars in the Gregory Poole Parking lots during the evening hours for a very profitable amount to the band. We credit $20-25 per shift (usually 4 hours); profits above what is paid out to accounts benefit the band's general fund. We provide security for the employees during the day, and in turn, they allow us to park cars in their lot in the evening. This is a 10 day event during the NC State Fair.
- Fruit Sales
Email: Fruit@adhsband.com Chair: Bobbie Kelley Each year, usually in November, we offer fruit sale. Students sell oranges, tangelos, tangerines, grapefruits, and nuts. Orders for fruit and nuts are taken in late October and November; the fruit arrives in December. Usually, the credit to the band account is 50% of the sales price. The coordinator provides the sales sheets and notifies everyone when the fruit arrives. It is the student's responsibility to pick up and deliver the fruit. Usually the coordinator needs some help unloading and sorting the fruit when it's delivered.
- Food Coupons
Email: FoodCoupons@adhsband.com Chair: Helen Wrenn Purchase gift cards for Lowe's Food, Food Lion, and new in 2007, Harris Teeter. A percentage (6% for Lowe's Food and Harris Teeter, 5% for Food Lion) goes into your band account. Available in $50 increments. Coupons are usually available at every booster meeting, and can also be purchased directly from the coordinator.
- Scrip
Email: Scrip@adhsband.com Chair: James Farnsworth Purchase gift cards to many major stores and restaurants, and a percentage of the value is credited into your band account. Percentages vary by retailer, from 2% to 19%. Lots more information is available here.
- Belk Hudson Crabtree
Email: Belks@adhsband.com Chair: Donna Sloma and Elaine Ray Belk offers coupon ticket sales for an event they have, usually in October. The coupon sells for $5.00 each, with the Band Boosters keeping all the profits. The coupons are for one specific weekend with savings and discounts the whole day. Each student can sell as many as he/she wants. We usually credit each student the full amount to their band account.
Each November, Belks asks us to work their box stands. This is giving out boxes and tissue during the Christmas season. You must be 16 years of age (work permit are no longer required, starting in 2007). The sign in sheet is at the North Entrance. For every hour worked, $6 is credited to your account. - Food Lion MVP Cards
Email: GroceryCards@adhsband.com Chair: N/A Link your Food Lion card so that the band can receive "free money" based on your Food Lion purchases. Go to https://www.foodlion.com/IntheCommunity/ShopandShare/secure/RegisterMVPCards.asp, and when you select the organization, be sure choose Raleigh as the city, and Athens Drive Arts Foundation as the organization (Food Lion works with 501c3 organizations, and ADAF has this designation while the Band Boosters do not). Food Lion will donate a portion of your grocery sales each time you swipe your MVP card. - Harris-Teeter VIC Cards
Email: viccards@adhsband.com Chair: The co-Presidents The Harris Teeter number for the Athens Band Boosters is 2153. You can link one of three ways: 1) Tell the cashier the school code; 2) Email the last name on the Harris-Teeter VIC Card account and the 11 or more digit number to viccards@adhsband.com (the benefit being that we'll sign you up again next year, and it's quicker than doing the online registration) or 3) go to http://www.harristeeter.com/community/together_in_education/link_to_your_school.aspx to sign up. Once you get your card linked, your VIC number is linked to our group and we get a certain percentage for Harris Teeter brands bought. (This includes Hunter Farms, and Premier Selection brands.) Every little bit helps! Even if you linked your VIC card last year, you need to sign up again, because August 1st is the start date for each school year. Anyone with a VIC card can participate, so notify your friends and family.
