| Many Committee Chair positions still need to be filled! Look for those labeled "Open" and contact the presidents. Most (but not all) Committee Chairs are exempt from the 6-shift Service Commitment. | CommitteesThe Band Boosters have many committees for the varied tasks needed to support the band. There's something here for everyone! We have the Social Committees, Field Operations, Transportation Committee, Pit Crew, Prop Committee, Uniform Committee, Communications, Manual Committee, Guard Committee, Parent Support Committee, Medical Committee, Alumni Committee, and Ways and Means. Are you worried about the time commitment and having to attend innumerable meetings? Don't be. We use the term "committee" to mean "list of people we can call over the year." If you can only help for a single event, we'd love to have you join us. Our committees tend to have a lot of fun planning and executing their endeavors, and chances are, you'll have fun, too! The Pit Crew consists of adult family members of the band, and is responsible for helping to move equipment (load and unload trailer and/or bus) to football games and competitions. The Pit Crew also sets up the front ensemble (pit) prior to the start of the halftime show at football games. Most importantly, it is the Pit Crew's responsibility to set up props and front ensemble instruments prior to the band taking the field at competitions.......This activity is usually timed by the judges, and points may be deducted if it is not done in a timely manner..........so we really need you!!!! Plus, you get a front row seat during the competition. This is a great chance for parents to get involved, meet other parents, and have a lot of fun. We are also discussing the possibility of getting some sort of shirt (maybe NASCAR themed ???) to wear for the competitions. A minimum of 25 people who plan on attending all of the competitions are needed. PropsEmail: Props@adhsband.com Chair: Greg Still

Alumni CommitteeEmail: Alumni@adhsband.com Chair: Della Martin This committee is working to form and organize an alumni association for the band program at Athens Drive High School. Many parents are committed to the continuing growth of the Athens Drive Band program and to the students who have a desire to develop their musical talents and interests. The band has benefited from the support and hard work of past band and booster members. This committee will seek to build on the efforts of past members and give alumni the opportunity to be a supportive member of the band program. Ways and MeansWays and Means is the fundraising committee. There are many fundraisers that take place, and by participating in the fundraiser, you can put funds into your band account as well as help the general funds. We encourage all parents to get involved in at least one fundraiser. Most parents find it is a lot of fun and a chance to meet other boosters. The fundraisers page has much more information on what this committee does.
